Although Otis Redding produced many oustanding records during his lifetime, he was at his best in live performance. On 16th September 1966, Otis appeared on the British music program Ready Steady Go. For this show he perfomed the Rolling Stone's "Satisfaction" (actually combining it with a phrase from Robert Parker's "Barefootin'") and "Respect," a song Otis wrote himself, but is better known as a 1967 hit for Aretha Franklin. Below are some streaming RealAudio files from this performance.
